About me
Loco Dice was born and raised in Düsseldorf, Germany. Growing up in a multicultural household with Tunisian roots, he developed a unique musical perspective that would later define his groundbreaking career in electronic dance music.
Before becoming an electronic music icon, Loco Dice was deeply embedded in the hip-hop scene, allowing him to develop a rhythmic sensibility that would become a hallmark of his later techno productions. As rapper and DJ he toured the globe solo and supporting Snoop Dogg, Death Row Crew, Ice Cube and many more.
At the turn of the millennium, Dice transitioned from hip-hop to electronic music.
From early breakout hit “Phat Dope Shit” in 2002 to “Heavy Heart”, a new collaboration with Skrillex and Fireboy DML, Dice has always been in the headlines. After his debut album “7 Dunham Place” on his own now long-running and well-regarded Desolat in 2008, came the major label follow-up “Underground Sound Suicide” on Ultra Music with guests like Giggs and Neneh Cherry, and then the agenda-setting track “Love Letters” in 2018.
Add in tens of EPs on Ovum, Minus, and Cocoon, to name a few, and his remixes from everyone from Black Coffee to Disclosure, or Warren G to Basement Jaxx, Loco Dice has always been at the beating heart of the electronic scene.
His DJ sets brim with personality, whether in intimate venues or on iconic stages at festivals like EDC, Ultra, Tomorrowland, and Coachella. He has held era-defining residencies at Ibiza’s DC-10, Amnesia, and Space Miami.
Always pushing boundaries, Dice appeared in the 2004 PlayStation2 game Decks & FX, fused hip-hop and electronic music with his FKD project, and created soundtracks for fashion designer Marcelo Burlon during Milan Men’s Fashion Week. His distinctive style is reflected in collaborations with fashion brands like Daily Paper and New Era, as well as his own clothing line, Seran Bendecidos.
Loco Dice’s longevity and insatiable creativity demonstrate his passion for exploring uncharted territory between genres and styles, solidifying his place as a groundbreaking force in music and culture.
