About me

Loco Dice is a larger than life personality with a sound to match. He’s an effervescent creative on many different fronts; someone with a unique perspective and the ability to get his message across in various ways from beat making to soundtrack design, clothing lines to DJ sets. His trademark sound has always been built on chunky drums and an innate sense of the hip hop funk that so defined his early years.

From early breakout hit “Phat Dope Shit” in 2002 to agenda setting debut album 7 Dunham Place on his own now long running and well regarded Desolat, Dice has always been in the headlines. After his debut came the major label follow up Underground Suicide with guests like Giggs, Just Blaze and Neneh Cherry, then the agenda-setting and club-focussed house and techno showcase that was Love Letters. Add in tens of EPs on Ovum, Minus, Cocoon and Cadenza, he has always been at the beating heart of the electronic scene.

His DJ sets, too, always brim with personality whether in a small underground basement or on an iconic main stage at some of the world’s top festivals playing to thousands. He has had era-defining residencies at cult clubs like Tribehouse in Germany, iconic Ibiza super clubs like Circoloco at DC-10 and on the Amnesia Terrace and can just as easily play at his own carefully curated Serán Bendecidos party series, which are built around the concept of unity, community and freedom.

His latest move has been to unveil En Couleur, a brand new label reserved exclusively for his own music. It will show another side to Dice’s ever evolving sound. This comes after appearing in 2004 PlayStation2 game “Decks & FX”, writing critically acclaimed runway soundtracks for Italian fashion designer Marcelo Burlon during Men’s Fashion Week in Milan for both FW20 and SS20 and curating his own merchandise line as well as collaborating with Amsterdam fashion label Daily Paper and pro sports hat purveyors New Era and cooking up his own ideal fusions of hip hop and electronic music with his FKD side-project. All of this proves, then, that he is undoubtedly an insatiable creative force.
